I work professionally in 3D and the commercial art industry and CG industry. So, I'd mentioned I've got some assumptions about you, here's some about me. The final reason is that, well, this is kind of pro-to-pro training.
You know, if you've seen movies like the Incredible Hulk, Chronicles of Narnia, District 9, Spiderman, you've seen Body Paint in action with C4D, it's ubiquitous in the film and television industry for creating all sorts of great assets. My series here is a real solid introduction to both those great features, fantastic if you're doing texture work, if you're a matte painter.

When I first became familiar with C4D I was on a deadline and I wanted to learn best how to use these features as fast as I could and was surprised that there is not much training out there that goes into some of the little details about Body Paint and Projection Man. The second reason worth paying attention to is that this is a very solid introduction of Body Paint and Projection Man. I don't need to teach you how to do 3D but I do need to go ahead and reveal how the tools are used in context across a project so you can jump from one program, if you're coming from another pro-level program out there - Maya, LightWave, View, Extreme, something like that - how you can best relate the tools C4D has and then if you want to, to actually customize how you access the tools and interface to better match your expectations working with C4D. I'm making some assumptions about you out there as you're watching this series, and the first assumption is you're already familiar with 3D. I offer free tutorials on my Web site, too at but you may wonder, well, what makes this one special if I'm coming into C4D? This is a project-based series so that you can rapidly learn the C4D tools in context. There are some other options out there available to you, including Maxon's very fine Cineversity which has a wealth of great tutorials on there, but I found certain sites when I was learning C4D to be kind of frustrating going through them because they weren't always cohesive and there are three core reasons why I think you'll enjoy this series and get more out of it than some other options that are out there including some free series out there.
